Welcome to Elevate Student Ministry
Elevate is our ministry to students in grades 6-12. Our desire is to see students elevated to a higher level of living by being strengthened in faith, character and wisdom through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe in building strong relationships that encourage, challenge and equip our students to live with godliness and certainty in an uncertain world, to be transformed by the Word of God and to see others experience the life-changing love and power of Jesus.
Sound serious? It is, but it is also a whole lot of fun! Our newly completed student center is designed with this in mind. We welcome parents and students to come and take a closer look at Elevate. There are many opportunities to grow and serve.
There is a lot of negative talk going on these days about this generation of students. Expectations are low. The outlook is bleak. Want to know what is sad? Most of the time that talk is coming from those who should be believing in them, those who are in their lives daily, those who love them...from pastors to parents, to peers, professionals, and politicians. It’s no wonder that our students are not very hopeful. Maybe its because the standard given them today isn't worth living up to. We think that the standard God has for them is high and worthy - something to live for, something to pursue.
We believe it’s time to elevate our standard.
Our students know there is more and we intend to tell them about Jesus and how much He believes in them. We want to tell them what He thinks about them - that His thoughts aren't like those they hear day in and day out, but that His thoughts about them are higher than those of anyone else.
We believe it’s time to elevate our thinking.
The statistics aren't good. We all are aware of that. We have read about some of the things our students are involved with and it has caused us to say, enough is enough. We aren't going to put them down any more. We aren't going to blame their parents or the schools. We’re not blaming the politicians. We as a group of believers are going to take responsibility for our students.
We believe it’s time to elevate our responsibility.
